German tutorial and "tbs_de_manual.htm"

German crashcourse and tutorial:
http://lamp.clausvb.de/tbs_mhtml/table_of_content.html

TBS-Translation:
http://lamp.clausvb.de/tbs_mhtml/tbs_de_manual.htm

---

I started a new thread to post updates and news in this thread. I will try to work on both projects constantly. The german tutorial will be finished this year I think.

The translation is harder than I thought, since I try and test a lot of TBS stuff, while I translate the document. "tbs_us_manual.htm" has more than 3.000 lines, so it might take a while.

I will try to be up to date. I have updated "tbs_de_manual.htm" already. I know, I will have to work constantly on it. Since template engines are a hobby of mine, this is fun. I work for "vLIB" since 2002.

@Skrol29: Could you add a link on your site somewhere? Perhaps a german flag beside the french one would be the best ...
But 2 links under "Manual" would do, too.

Claus

Re: German tutorial and "tbs_de_manual.htm"

Hi Claus,

This is geat !
I hope german users will apreciate your docs.

For now I've added a new section in the support page about ressources for other countries. This section is aslo linked from the download page in order to make it more accessible.
I'll maybe improve this later.

Thanks to Google translation tools, I've readed some of your pages about Template Engines and it looks intersting.
Your remarks about how TBS support the IF feature are intersting too.

Re: German tutorial and "tbs_de_manual.htm"

Thanks for adding the 2 links. I think your PIs (page impressions or page views) from Germany will increase. vLIB was not known in Germany. I wrote the same tutorial for vLIB and Kelvin (the vLIB author) told me after a year, that "clausvb.de" is under the Top10 Referrers to his site.

I do support in 2 forums (mrunix.de, dasprovisorium.de) and started to mention TBS there.

I do not know how much people from Germany will download TBS, but I hope my site will advertise TBS a little.

Regards,
Claus

PS: I will work on the tutorial again tomorrow. I have a small problem with TBS. I post it here tomorrow. Thanks for your help and keep on the great work.

Hi Clause,

If you have a direct URL for a german forum on your site, I could add it on the forums list on the left of this window.

German forum

I thought about a german forum, but I am unsure about it.

First I do not feel qualified for it. I bet every second or third answer would be: "Sorry, I have no clue, please post your question/problem on tinybutstrong.com."
On the other hand some Germans might see: "Oh, a german forum ... if I need support I can ask there."

Second I think you should make a german forum here, because the people will look here for support. Would it be possible to notify per mail if a post is made in a german forum?

I am willing to try the german support and I would like to do it very much. But I think my problem with "extend" shows, that I have to learn a great deal about TBS. But if you think I am qualified, I will do it. I would make a forum on
http://vlib.clausvb.de/forum/index.php
and if you make a link it here, it should help German TBS users.

I lay it in your hands!

Regards,
Claus

Re: German forum

We can try and see,

Do you agree if a open a german forum here, just like the french forum.
I put your email to be notified on each new post.
You ask me when you cannot reply on a post (I don't speak a word of german).

If it becomes too difficult, or if nobodies comes here, we just close the forum in few weeks.

What do you say ?

Good idea.

Yes, that sounds good. I think this will work.

Let's do it. I think we should give them 6 or 8 weeks. It will take time, I guess. Is this ok for you?
