auto-printing possible in OpenOffice?

I have a customer who is used to a MS Word system of making printouts based on online data. This required a complicated ODBC connection from his home computer to the database server. And this failed. I hope he is willing to step over to OOo, any experiences, or links to the Fine Manual?

Yep., that's how I came here, but then i create a page, it opens in the browser, in the original MSWord version in the background, and then it would be so cool if, like with the word version, with a press of the button you could invoke the pages to be printed, as well as a php page call to mark the page printed in the database.
