TBS Won't Install But Other Extensions Will

Hello all,

I'm trying to install TBS on my server but I have no luck in doing so. I've tried different settings and all permissions on my server appear to be correct because I can install other extensions, although some won't install.

Is there any way someone can take a look at it for me and see why I'm having this problem? I've tried this on 3 different domains (all on the same server) but it just won't install.

The Error Message:
Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

UPDATE: I looked in my Plugin Manager and it's displayed there. But I've gotten errors each I tried installing it. I'll test it out and post back my results.

I cannot reproduce your problem. Can you try the following:

I worked around it by using the "Install from Directory" option in Extension Manager.
1. Expand the package on your desktop
2. FTP the expanded folder (and its contents) to the tmp folder.
3. Specify the folder name in the "install from directory" field.
4. Click install.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure why it is, but as I mentioned earlier, it does show up in my Plugin Manager as installed, and all the options are selectable.

Now I need to understand it fully. I'm trying to make a directory that is formatted like this site:
http://www.affiliateseeking.com/affiliate_az/M/1.html

I even need it to display a directory listing in alphabetical order as the top of the page has. I also know that the fields will need to come from a database, like the Earnings field, Method of Pay, Description, etc..

Will TBS be able to format the body like that page? I did make a template of the table as seen on that site.

Hi,

Yes, the TBS plugin for Joomla can make such pages. It cannot do it alone, you have to make a PHP script which retrieve the data depending to the page asked by the user. This is very common in PHP. You can try t make it without Joomla, and then integrate it with the TBS plugin.
