Dynamic data table, each data row in multiple sheet rows

Hello, I'm trying to achieve something really similar to what was asked months ago here: http://www.tinybutstrong.com/forum.php?thr=3425, which is to be able to merge cells of dynamic data on cycles, preserving the alignment.

Is this still unsupported? Is there any possible workaround?

It is not supported for now.
The workaround is to edit the XML of the current sheet yourself. Read and modify the current sheet is easy but finding what to replace and with what is not easy.
