TBS for dummies request

Being a novice in both scripting and databases I stumbled across TBS on a search for where to start. Your demo looked really tempting, so I downed it and put it up on my server. Where it sits right now with noting to do.

Problem is: I've got mysql up and running, apache 2 up and running and php up and running. But not much chance to grasp all possibilities of the pack... I was hoping TBS could help me towards learning some of the more advanced sides of web development, but I haven't got a clue how to link it with mysql, for starters.

I know that there's no short cuts in learning, but the vast  worlds of these things doesn't seem to have a start. Therefore I [and possibly many others with me] would appreaciate a bit more of hands on info on how to get started. A "TBS for dummies" if you like.

;)

Thanks!

Re: TBS for dummies request

Hello Magnum,

Thta's tue the first Examples Set doesn't have any install documentation. There is only  a small text at the main telling that database examples are not available out of the TinyButStrong site.
Inside the PHP pages of the database examples, there is small commenteries wich shows how to open the connexion.

Nevertheless, all other examples should work fine on your PC and it should be easy to make them work: only put the pages under a directory were PHP pages are active and that's it.

About the tbsForum example, it has a full install page with a step by step configuration. That part should be ok.

I think I gonna make a small documentation for the first example set for next TBS version.
