count of children in parentgroup

Hi,
how could I display the count of records in a parentgroup - like a subtotal but I am not adding up, simply counting?

Thx.

Hi, I think it is not possible.
You have to manage the count yourself, using a "ondata" function. But I doubt you'll can merge it in the top part of the parent group.

Re: count of children in parentgroup

Thanks,
ondata and onformat function would probably work or I might get it from the db. This would be a good enhancement for TBS though as count could probably be calculated where you create the parentgroups with the least overhead.
We have a variable now for the current record number, we could have another one for the total record number - in the block or in the group.

Thanks again and all the best.
